Ambassadors, peer mentors and community champions

Ambassadors, Community Champions and Peer Mentors get involved by helping other young people with work, learning and training and campaign for change in their local communities.

Ambassadors

Ambassadors use their experiences to mentor and coach other young people, encouraging them to enter or re-enter learning, training or work. Ambassadors also contribute to the content on the website by sharing their experiences and talking about the issues faced by their peers. Volunteers are residents or ex-residents of Foyers across England.

Community Champions

Community Champions get involved in campaigning for change in their area. They look at gaps in local services and campaign for the changes needed to improve support for young people seeking learning, training and work opportunities. Volunteers are residents or ex-residents of Foyers across England.

Peer Mentors

Mentors use their first-hand experiences to support other young people, helping them overcome negative peer pressure and to return to learning, training or work. Volunteers are recruited across England by Rathbone.
