Danielle and Aaron, 19, are both apprentices with Halfords working on their NVQ level 2 in Retail. Danielle is thriving and enjoying obtaining customer service experience. "I was really shy," she says. "My self-esteem was very low, but now I can say that I've got 100 % confidence."

Using the skills she's gained, Danielle hopes to become a flight attendant in a few years time. For Aaron the opportunity to gain a qualification from practical experience was important: "I like being able to do it first hand instead of sitting behind a desk in college." The retail sector is vast with a varied range of jobs. A retail apprenticeship is a great way in.
