Ella, 19 is doing her Level 3 NVQ Apprenticeship at Treetops Day Nursery in Dudley. She shows us round as the three to four year-olds get stuck into dancing, playing and getting messy with lots of paint and goo!

"Before I started my apprenticeship life was boring," she says. "I couldn't get a job with no skills or qualifications." Ella always wanted to work with children, so after a failed attempt at getting into hairdressing she did an e2e course and took the plunge on a childcare apprenticeship. Now she's the proud owner of an Apprenticeships award and she's looking to become an early years teacher or a midwife.
