I've just finished my second degree.  Seven years of studying has finally come to an end.  Do I feel elated that its over, excited about my prospects, accomplished?  No.  I feel cut loose in the open waters of unemployment, with no land in sight to swim towards.

Two degrees down, two degrees which opened the gates & let me free to roam...with absolutely no signposts as to where the road even begins, let alone where it leads.

Its becoming quickly apparent that the past seven years have been a waste.  Had I just carried on in my slave-labour office junior job which I left at 17 to pursue "further, higher, be-all-end-all" education, I'd no doubt be in a far better position than I am now. 

As it stands, I now can't even find a job similar to that which I found as a school leaver...so much for qualifications giving you a step-up in life.
