What do you think about EMA?

Robin English

Robin English, 19, is currently on an e2e course with Rathbone. He would like to become a police officer and help out in his local community.

In his video, Robin highlighted Educational Maintenance Allowance as a way of helping young people gain qualifications and continue to study. EMA will be scrapped in England from January but is still available in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Is EMA fair for you?

Robin thinks £30 per week for EMA isn't very fair. He went to speak to people around Bristol to get their opinion.

Help
Rathbone 114x114

This Make Tracks video was produced with assistance from Lifetracks partner, Rathbone, who work with young people that don't feel ready for work or further learning. They help young people discover their ability to succeed, and then support them to go on to college, training or employment.

They do this through a range of tailor-made programmes, out-reach work, courses and apprenticeships. To find out if they can help you, contact your local Rathbone centre.
